Trilogy III

Project: Trimaran Refit

Date: 07/05/23

Location: Southampton, UK

The Camber Group has successfully completed a major refit of the Kessel Tango Trimaran Trilogy, a project that involved the extension of the hull and a complete overhaul of all onboard systems. This ambitious refit was designed to enhance the boat’s performance, functionality, and overall longevity while retaining its signature trimaran design.

Key highlights of the refit include:

  • Hull Extension: The hulls of the Trilogy were extended to improve overall stability and waterline length, optimizing speed and handling in various sea conditions. The extension was engineered to maintain the vessel's balance and structural integrity while increasing its efficiency and reducing drag.

  • System Overhaul: Every critical system onboard was thoroughly inspected, upgraded, and replaced as necessary. This included the rigging, propulsion, electrical systems, navigation equipment, and onboard control systems. The overhaul ensures that the Trilogy is equipped with the latest technologies for both performance and safety, offering improved reliability and ease of operation.

  • Structural Reinforcements: The entire vessel received extensive reinforcement, including updates to the hull and deck to enhance rigidity and strength, while minimizing weight. The incorporation of high-tech composite materials ensures durability in extreme conditions while maintaining optimal performance.

  • Advanced Power and Energy Systems: The refit included the installation of modern power management systems, incorporating energy-efficient solutions such as solar panels and upgraded battery storage for extended cruising range and reliability during longer expeditions.
